Hi there every body, I am alive but snowed under a pile of paid work at present. I do know that makes me very fortunate compared to lots of you out there.
I am only doing ONE event this year which will be Unravel at Farnham Maltings this week end.
Nigel has been out scouting for knitting equipment that needs a new loving home and i cant wait to catch up with everybody!
Come and say hello

About Idas House
My Grandparents owned a haberdashery shop in Redditch and my early memories are of oak drawers filled with socks, mens suitings, replacement suspenders and much much more.
The window displays were protected with yellow cellophane blinds and there was a huge glass counter at each end of the shop with oak drawers linning the walls.
The shop was the hub of the comunity people came to kit out family menbers from babyhood to adults, Ida Hewston remembered everyone.
My Grandmother taught me how to knit and so began a lifelong passion!

An introduction
I am a full time kitchen designer by day, mother to three teenage children and every free minute is spent obsessing over my vintage treasures and my knitting.
In addition to the above I try to squeeze in a City & Guilds Hand Knitted Textiles Course under the watch full eye of Loraine McClean
My logo is my actual door BUT this is no idyllic tranquil country spot, the house is a mock Georgian 1970s box close to the children's school where we de-camped 7 years ago.
The magnificent pewter Lizard that is crawling on said door will relocate with me when I finally go.
So for all you frustrated, busy stressed out working mothers who long for a vintage corner in which to be creative, keep those thoughts alive with me until the little darlings finally jump off the edge of the nest and fly!
